Breanna Wing uses filmmaking to tell stories about the human experience and the natural world. As an actress, director, writer, athlete, and environmentalist, she has worked from a young age to shed light on conservation issues and, more recently, gender equality.
Breanna, raised in New England, began her documentary journey at 14 when she directed and edited her first film, which highlighted the limited capacity of the local humane society. The documentary supported fundraising efforts for a new Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, now a sanctuary for over 3,500 animals in need each year. A few years later, she expanded her impact by co-directing and co-producing Eye to Eye, a documentary filmed in Cameroon that exposes the illegal bushmeat trade and advocates for the protection of endangered primates.
Breanna transitioned into narrative filmmaking through internships on blockbuster sets, including two Marvel Cinematic Universe films, which paved the way for roles on major productions like Django Unchained. After drafting her first set for a Disney film, she was promoted to Art Department Coordinator on an NBC sitcom. She has also worked as an assistant to producer Victor Hsu, director Jason Winer, and an award-winning casting director.
Stepping in front of the camera, Breanna studied acting at Los Angeles studios, including Lesly Kahn & Co., Upright Citizens Brigade, and The Groundlings. This training led to supporting roles in projects by Quentin Tarantino, Adam McKay, and Aaron Sorkin.
Beyond filmmaking, Breanna serves on the board of the nonprofit Cinematography for Actors Institute and the Executive Advisory Council for The Maine Forest and Logging Museum.
A Maine native and Chapman University graduate, she spends her free time making ceramics, running marathons, and rock climbing.
